Hi dear reader, you're welcome once again to February; the month of love.

It is so obvious that love is a global need, every body needs love and every one deserves to be loved.

Few days from today we'll have official buildings, event centres, public places wrapped in the bright lovely colours of red and white, some of us will go further to get matching outfits for the occasion. It officially starts on the 14th but like we've all witnessed, it has metamorphosed into a month-long event.

As we set ourselves in the mood for the season, here are a few things to note this valentine season:

1. Kindly allow people celebrate their love and partners in peace, reminding them that it's just another day isn't really so necessary, or is it? Sometimes it gives off jealousy-vibes 🙄. You can just drink water and mind your business.

2. As much as February is seen as the month of love, it's not advisable to put your partner under undue pressure to meet up to certain expectations, especially when you know how things are with/for them; every day is a day to celebrate love, remember you can also make special memories beyond 14th.

3. Wise up dear friends, it's true that one can catch the fire of love this season, but be weary of strange fire, Selah. 🥴

4. The proof of your love is not in giving the opposite sex unlimited access to your body, the pressure will come, hormones will rage but remember you've been purchased by blood. Jesus is still the best proof of love out there.

5. Dear Emeka and Cynthia, valentine shouldn't be a yearly subscription package, I still don't understand why you're looking for Val again this year after you found one last year, try to be consistent with your choice(s).

Bonus point: The Feelings, the butterflies in the tummy, etc. can all be described as attributes of love, they're like the thermometer used in checking temperature/heat, it's not the heat. Love is kind, love is patient, love does not dishonor others, love is not self-seeking, love always protects, love always trusts, love does not delight in evil... God is love.
