WHAT DO YOU SEE II

WHAT DO YOU SEE II

We kicked off this month with a beautiful introduction to what the word vision entails, today we'll look at the Believer’s example.

A vision keeps your eyes/mind glued to an expected end, when you run or move without a vision in  mind you'll be setting yourself up for a fatal collision with time & chance. The Visions we have is always tailored in line with our true identity(our January theme), you'll find it difficult to see a clear picture of your life if you're not sure of who you are.

For believers, as we grow we tend to have a small inner battle between our personal life pursuits & "working for God". Some of us have not been able to successfully marry these two realities, these thoughts are always born out of the wrong notion that we might miss out on certain things if we choose to live fully for Christ. This is not true, however, it’s a result of a knowledge gap of our reality in Christ.

I find it rather interesting that the lives of some people mentioned in the scriptures were not really captured in details, especially as regards to personal life goals/Visions. We can only conclude via historical and cultural facts what the lives of these people would've looked like if God didn't call them out and I do hope you don't think they didn't have visions.

However, one thing I noticed in their lives, from Abraham to Isaac, Joseph, David, Esther, Ruth, Solomon, Rebecca, Deborah, Mary Magdalene, Rahab, John, Paul etc is that at the end of the day they all fulfilled purpose. The Visions they must have had & set earlier in their lives were definitely captured, accomplished & even surpassed as they followed God's way.

As believers in Christ we are already drafted into God's vision-statement, which has Kingdom at it's center. The part of the sscripture that says; I know the plans I have for you, plans of good and not of evil.... to bring you to an "expected end", is proof that God deliberately chose to walk with us in this same manner and has only great plans for us.

In Habbakuk 2:2-3 the scripture says "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come,it will not tarry.’’

As seen in the scripture above we're allowed to have Visions of our own, all in obedience to Christ and like we've seen from the lives of some of our progenitors in the Faith, there's an unlimited possibility to what we can achieve when God breathes upon these things. These Visions give us directions.

As believers we should learn to trust God completely, we rarely notice this but we always trust Him in parts, He requires our full trust. Joseph was someone who against all odds never lost sight of his God-given vision, you can't afford to stop believing and believing right.

One of the greatest things someone ever told me during a sore point in my life was "Bro whatever happens, please don't loose sight of your dreams and Visions” that stuck with me.

Dear friend, everything you seek for is in Christ, know this and know peace so that life's anxieties won't eat you up on the way.

God bless you.
