The Cure For Your Blindness

The Cure For Your Blindness

Is there really a cure for Blindness? I guess the best answer to that very interesting question depends. While 80% of visual impairment can be prevented and cured, there remains 20% of cases for which there is currently no way of curing them.

A range of conditions exists where those who develop them are faced with gradual loss of vision until their impairment is so severe that they are effectively blind. (Copied from Google). I think it is important at this point to understand what blindness is.

Blindness is the state or condition of being blind unable to see because of injury, disease, or a congenital condition. It is the lack of perception, awareness, or judgement; ignorance. It is a dark state and the person involved can see absolutely no light at all.

I wonder if the Bible has anything to say about Blindness?

2Cor.4.4 - In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The question then is, can the cure for blindness ever be to tell someone he is blind? Certainly not.

The cure for someone who cannot see the light is to show them the light.

Who then is this light??

John.8.12 - Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

If you bring them to see the light they will never want to go back to the dark. Don't condemn men by telling them they are blind, that is not a solution. Condemning them will not bring a solution either.

Show them the light, expose them to Jesus, tell them what he went through to ensure we all are in his light.

Lastly, if you are reading this and you are wondering why you don't seem to enjoy this walk with God as much as men say they enjoy it. You wonder why you are not living the abundant life of Christ. Maybe you have not received this light, Jesus. All it takes to walk in his light is to receive this life Jesus has given. Believe in him and trust in him.

Rom.10.9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

I have seen this light and you need to see this light as well. Jesus is the Light!
