When I was younger, people kept telling me I was different (my mum especially) even now they still do. I used to think it was because I was the only child yet I lived my whole life with cousins older than me and relatives. So of course I should be different!! Especially when they fix a family meeting and I'm exempted, obviously it always reminded me of how different I was! I was always in the shadow of my thoughts, of how I was abandoned by parents and had to deal with a lot of things alone.

But then, as I grew older (in Christ and in age) I got to understand that my picture of "different" was not "ideal" or let me say was not the "truth". Yes! Because trust me it took  a lot of time to get it right. When you desire something but you have to wait for a long time to get it while others close to you get theirs in a finger snap. I got to know from God's word that I was a time bomb set for an appointed time to explode!(only God decides the time)

Wow! I got to understand that I'm a raw gold going through some refining for beauty! And so is you too!! Then I became careful of the friends I make, things I say, how I dress and a lot of other things. Just like royalty, they don't mingle with just anybody, they don't dress anyhow (Read Deuteronomy 18 vs 9-14). Try and read Judges 11 too; talks about Jephthah the son of the harlot. He was different! They rejected him but yet that same set of people needed him later.

Hey you; it's fine to be different in fact it's amazing to be different! Jesus would have arrived normally like every other child but there had to be a mark or sign of greatness before He arrives. Being born out of wedlock is a sign of difference not a mistake, rejected by loved ones is also a sign, maltreated by people close to you, seeing things different from the way others see it, not getting things when you want them and the list is endless but PLEASE don't try to fight it. Don't try to blend with others, you will die trying. It's not a disadvantage it's a huge advantage! Just turn to God and He'll make you a visible wonder on earth. God bless you!!
